Ballinrobe Open 2013

The who’s who of the racquetball world descended on Ballinrobe for the first tournament of the season. Players travelled from the four corners of Ireland to take part in the prestigious the two day event. Over 70 games took place and spectators were treated to some great games. The men’s open was won by the current European champion Noel O’Callaghan from the Fermoy club, Co. Cork. O’Callaghan defeated Arklow’s Jimmy Gannon in a tightly contested final.

The Ballinrobe club used the occasion to celebrate its own European champion Michael Kelly. Michael won the men’s over 50’s doubles with partner Jimmy Gannon in Italy in last July.

Congratulations to all players and well done to the Ballinrobe club on producing another great tournament.
